কিশোরগঞ্জে ৩২ তম আন্তর্জাতিক ২৫ তম জাতীয় প্রতিবন্ধী দিবস ২০২৩ উদযাপিত হয়েছে। দিবসটি উপলক্ষে জেলা প্রশাসন, জেলা সমাজসেবা কার্যালয়ের আয়োজনে ও বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় সমাজ কল্যাণ পরিষদ, জাতীয় প্রতিবন্ধী উন্নয়ন ফাউন্ডেশনের সহায়তায় আলোচনাসভা ও র‌্যালি বের করা হয়। রবিবার সকালে কিশোরগঞ্জ শহরের নগুয়া মোড় থেকে র‌্যালিটি বের হয়ে শহরের প্রধান প্রধান সড়ক প্রদক্ষিণ করে জেলা সমাজসেবা কমপ্লেক্সে গিয়ে আলোচনাসভায় মিলিত হয়। ‘প্রতিবন্ধী ব্যক্তিদের সাথে সম্মিলিত অংশ গ্রহণ, নিশ্চিত করবে এসডিজি অর্জন’ প্রতিপাদ্যকে সামনে রেখে জেলা সমাজসেবা কার্যালয়ের উপপরিচালক মোঃ কামরুজ্জামান খানের সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠানে বিশেষ অতিথি ছিলেন সিভিল সার্জন অফিসের প্রতিনিধি ডা:মাহবুবুর রহমান,কিশোরগঞ্জ জেলা ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনের উপপরিচালক মো.মহসিন খান।

সমাজকর্মী মোঃ কামরুজ্জামানের পরিচালনায় অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য রাখেন, জেলা সমাজসেবা অধিদপ্তরের সহকারী পরিচালক মো: শহীদুল্লাহ, শাহনাজ পারভীন, প্রতিবন্ধী সেবা ও সাহায্য কেন্দ্রের প্রতিবন্ধী বিষয়ক কর্মকর্তা মিঠুন চক্রবর্তী,প্রবেশন অফিসার মহসিন, প্রতিবন্ধী নেতা ইবরাহীম, শাহাবুদ্দিন, স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংস্থা মহিনন্দ ইতিহাস ঐতিহ্য সংরক্ষণ পরিষদের সভাপতি আমিনুল হক সাদী, রেজাউল হাসনাত নাহিদ প্রমুখ। এ সময় জেলা সমাজসেবা কার্যালয়ের কর্মকর্তা কর্মচারী, বিভিন্ন শ্রেণী পেশার প্রতিবন্ধীগণ, স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংস্থার প্রতিনিধিগণ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
