অফিস ডেস্ক: “সুস্থ্য শ্রমিক, শোভন কর্মপরিবেশ, গড়ে তুলবে স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ” প্রতিপাদ্য নিয়ে সারা দেশের ন্যায় বিভাগীয় নগরী ময়মনসিংহে জাতীয় পেশাগত স্বাস্থ্য ও সেইফটি দিবস পালিত হয়েছে। কর্মক্ষেত্রে পেশাগত স্বাস্থ্য ও সেইফটি নিশ্চিতকরণের লক্ষ্যে ভবনের নিরাপত্তা, মেশিনের নিরাপত্তা, অগ্নি নিরাপত্তা, নারী শ্রমিকদের প্রসুতি কল্যাণ সুবিধা প্রদান, শ্রমিকদের স্বাস্থ্য সুরক্ষা বিষয়ে মালিক-শ্রমিককে সচেতন করতে প্রতিবছরের ন্যায় এ বছর ২৮ এপ্রিল দেশব্যাপী জাতীয় পেশাগত স্বাস্থ্য ও সেইফটি দিবস উদযাপিত হচ্ছে। দিবসটি উপলক্ষে ময়মনসিংহ বিভাগীয় প্রশাসনের সহযোগিতায় এবং কলকারখানা ও প্রতিষ্ঠান পরিদর্শন অধিদপ্তরের উদ্যোগে আজ (২৮ এপ্রিল) রবিবার বর্ণাঢ্য র‍্যালী ও আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয় । সকাল ১০ ঘটিকায় ময়মনসিংহ বিভাগীয় কমিশনারের কার্যালয় চত্বরে দিবসের কর্মসূচি উদ্বোধন করেন অতিরিক্ত বিভাগীয় কমিশনার (সার্বিক), মোহাম্মদ আজিজুর রহমান, বিপিএএ। এরপর ময়মনসিংহ জেলা পরিষদের ভাষা শহীদ আব্দুল জব্বার স্মৃতি মিলনায়তনে আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। অতিরিক্ত জেলা প্রশাসক (সার্বিক) মোঃ আরিফুল হক মৃদুল এঁর সভাপতিত্বে স্বাস্থ্য ও সেইফটির গুরুত্ব বিষয়ে আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। সভায় প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে বক্তব্য রাখেন মো: আজিজুর রহমান, বিপিএএ, অতিরিক্ত বিভাগীয় কমিশনার (সার্বিক),ময়মনসিংহ বিভাগ। তিনি শ্রমিকদের সামাজিক সুরক্ষা নিশ্চিত করতে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বিশেষ উদ্যোগ সার্বজনিন পেনশন ব্যবস্থায় সকল শ্রমজীবী মানুষের অংশগ্রহণ করার আহবান জানান। ময়মনসিংহ বিভাগের বিশেষ করে ভালুকা ও ত্রিশাল উপজেলার শিল্পাঞ্চলের কারখানাসমূহে কর্মরত শ্রমিকদেরকে সার্বজনিন পেনশন স্কিমের আওতায় আনতে মালিক পক্ষের প্রতি আহবান জানান। তিনি শিল্প কারখানায় শ্রমিকদের পেশাগত স্বাস্থ্য ও সেইফটি নিশ্চিতকরণে মনিটরিং কার্যক্রম এবং শিল্প কারখানা সংশ্লিষ্ট সকল দপ্তরের মধ্যে সুসমন্বয়ের উপর গুরুত্বারোপ করে তিনি বলেন, “কর্মক্ষেত্রে পেশাগত স্বাস্থ্য ও নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করতে DIFE এর মনিটরিং বাড়াতে হবে। সংশ্লিষ্ট সকল দপ্তরের মাধ্যমে এ বিষয়ে সমন্বিত উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করতে হবে।”
