আওয়ামী লীগের দলীয় দায়িত্বের বিষয়ে তিনি বলেন, আওয়ামী লীগের নীতি নির্ধারনী মহল যদি মনে করেন তাহলে আমাকে দায়িত্ব দিবেন। তবে দায়িত্ব বড় কথা নয় আওয়ামী লীগের একজন কর্মী হিসেবে ও একজন মুক্তিযোদ্ধার সন্তান হিসেবে নিজেকে নিয়ে গর্ববোধ করি।
