চীনের সামরিক হুমকির বিষয়ে সতর্ক করেছেন পশ্চিমা সামরিক জোট ন্যাটোর নেতারা। বেলজিয়ামের রাজধানী ব্রাসেলসে অনুষ্ঠিত শীর্ষ সম্মেলনে ন্যাটো নেতারা বলেছেন, চীন তাদের পরমাণু শক্তি দ্রুত বৃদ্ধি করছে। রাশিয়ার সামরিক বাহিনীর সঙ্গে সহযোগিতার ভিত্তিতে চীন তাদের সেনাবাহিনীর আধুনিকায়ন করছে।ন্যাটোর মহাসচিব জেনস স্টলটেনবার্গ সতর্কতা জারি করে বলেছেন, চীন সামরিক ও প্রযুক্তিগত দিক দিয়ে ন্যাটোর নিকটবর্তী হতে চলেছে। তিনি বলেন, ন্যাটো জোট চীনের সঙ্গে নতুন কোনো স্নায়ুযুদ্ধ চায় না।
