ভারতে দৈনিক শনাক্ত ফের দুই লাখের বেশি, ৪১৫৭ মৃত্যু
এনএনবি : করোনাভাইরাস মহামারীর দ্বিতীয় ঢেউয়ে দিক হারানো ভারতে একদিন পরই দৈনিক শনাক্ত ফের দুই লাখের উপরে উঠে এসেছে, মৃত্যু হয়েছে চার হাজারের বেশি রোগীর।
দেশটির স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ের দেওয়া তথ্যে দেখা গেছে, বুধবার সকালের আগের ২৪ ঘণ্টায় সেখানে দুই লাখ আট হাজার ৯২১ জন নতুন রোগী শনাক্ত হয়েছে আর একই সময় ৪১৫৭ জন রোগীর মৃত্যু হয়েছে।
একদিন আগে মঙ্গলবার দেশটিতে শনাক্ত রোগীর সংখ্যা ১৪ এপ্রিলের পর প্রথমবারের মতো দুই লাখের নিচে নেমেছিল। এপ্রিলের প্রথম সপ্তাহে ভারতে করোনাভাইরাস প্রাদুর্ভাবের দ্বিতীয় ঢেউ শুরু হওয়ার পর থেক্ েঅধিকাংশ দিনই দুই লাখ, তিন লাখ আর কখনো কখনো চার লাগের বেশি রোগী শনাক্ত হয়েছে। অতি সম্প্রতি দৈনিক শনাক্ত রোগীর সংখ্যা কিছুটা কমে এসেছে।
শনাক্ত নতুন রোগীদের নিয়ে ভারতে সরকারি হিসাবে মোট আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা দুই কোটি ৭১ লাখ ৫৭ হাজার ৭৯৫ জনে দাঁড়িয়েছে। শনাক্ত রোগীর সংখ্যায় যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের পর বিশ্বের দ্বিতীয় স্থানে আছে দেশটি।
মৃত্যুর সংখ্যায় যুক্তরাষ্ট্র ও ব্রাজিলের পরে থাকা ভারতে চলতি মহামারীতে মৃতের মোট সংখ্যা দাঁড়িয়েছে তিন লাখ ১১ হাজার ৩৮৮ জনে।
কোভিড-১৯ সংক্রমণ ভারতের প্রত্যন্ত গ্রামাঞ্চলগুলোতে ছড়িয়ে পড়ায় অনেকে আক্রান্তই পরীক্ষার আওতার বাইরে রয়ে যাচ্ছেন বলে ধারণা পর্যবেক্ষদের। আর বিশেষজ্ঞদের ধারণা দেশটিতে আক্রান্ত প্রকৃত রোগীর সংখ্যা ও মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা সরকারি হিসাবের পাঁচ থেকে ১০ গুণ বেশি।
